We The Best Music Group Signs Mavado & drops his first single ft. Ace Hood "Emergency"

Mavado is now signed to DJ Khaled's We The Best Music Group. Mavado appeared on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 show yesterday. The "Gully Gaad" broke the news with DJ Khaled hopping on the phone to make the announcement.

50 Cent Cancels New Album, Threatens Leak Of New Dr. Dre Single

50 Cent's frustration reached it's boiling point this morning (July 27) and  in a series of tweets revealed that he would not be releasing his highly anticipated album "Black Magic". He further stated he would leak his 'Detox' collaboration with Dr. Dre titled "The Psycho" today at 2pm.

"Man I'm not releasing a album i can't believe interscope is this f*cked up right now. I apologize to all my fans.....I will work with other artist on there projects but I will not put out another album. They dropped the ball with me one time to many. "

"I LOVE DRE but I'm putting his next single psycho out tomorrow at 2:00 #SK..... Your gonna love it its a big song I just don't think it deserves a great set up sense they can't seem to get it right when it comes to me."

Mavado back in U.S after retrieving visa

Dancehall recording artist Mavado has gained entry into the U.S.
Mavado was re-issued a work permit visa by the United States Embassy in Kingston

Mavado had his work permit visa revoked in 2009 by the U.S embassy during a slew of visa revocations including Jamaican artistes.

Now that the singjay is back in the U.S, he will undergo a series of interviews & will be promoting his new label, Mansion Records that was formed just last month.

Buju Banton Wins Grammy on Eve of Retrial

In a statement after his win Buju said "winning the Grammy shows that my music transcends borders and people are now paying attention to what I'm saying in-depth. Music is my life and an art form that cannot be denied any living soul."

Less than a day after winning a Grammy for best reggae album, popular Jamaican singer Buju Banton was on trial again Monday, accused of conspiring to buy cocaine from an undercover officer.

KMC lands U.S. music deal

Soca star Ken Marlon Charles, better known as KMC, is bidding farewell to the Carnival. The composer, producer and performing artiste has signed a multi-million dollar deal with American record label, Universal Music.

After a career in the Carnival spanning two decades, KMC says he's moving to Los Angeles to record four albums. His jackpot with Universal had its origins in Sweden last year while he was performing in a club in Stockholm. He caught the eye of a music producer known as Red-One, who has also produced Lady Gaga.

Traffik's new frontline singer, Járdine 'Jadel' Legére.

New to the soca industry the traditional gospel and R&B singer ventured into the industry last year. 

Local writer Jason "Shaft" Bishop had written a song for her but the tune was not released in time for last year's season. Recognising her talents, however, Bishop recommended that she align herself with a band and introduced her to Traffik's bandleader Andy Joseph. 
Her first performance was last year at Legacy's band launch.

Her  2011 tracks "Wine on meh" and "Wining Low" are receiving airplay and Legére said she has started to write her own songs.

Tracy Morgan: Sarah Palin 'Hottest MILF In The World'

Sarah Palin has one big fan, but it may have nothing to do with her politics.
Appearing on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night, Tracy Morgan had some interesting praise for Palin, which he tacked on at the end of an interview, apropos of nothing.
"Sarah Palin, you're the hottest MILF in the world," he shouted out, confusing his interviewer. Perhaps she shouldn't have been so bewildered -- this was the second time in a week that Morgan called out Palin for her looks.
